As already said you can boot the installation DVD of SL with a boot disc that includes either EFI-Empire or iBoot but this won't get you very far if you don't know the special parameters of the G560 because after the very time consuming booting of the DVD (or the shorter boot from the HD/USB-Stick) you get stuck with the starting screen of OS X. Everything is extremely sloooow!
The reason for this is the "lacking" driver for the graphics card. The NVIDIA 310M is not automatically recognized by the installation program though you have the right resolution on your screen. Theoretically you could go on but after the 3 option you will finally lose control over the pad/the mouse and can't hit the "Yes"-button etc.

To avoid getting stuck you have to know the exact parameters for the Core i3 CPU, i.e the so called "busratio" which you have to calculate. For the i3 with 2.26GHz this is: 17.
To keep going after the start from the bootloader CD you type in:
-x -v busratio=17

and press return.
Needless to say that by standard a US keyboard is set, so you have to find the fitting keys in your own language first.
Now the installation process will start and after some minutes your starting screen will appear in the right resolution and you can begin the setup by choosing your language. Keep in mind that the standard is of course USA, you can change it in the top right corner.

Next time: prepare the HD and setup for the final installation.

  1. Hi!

I have some problem with the installing mac OS X on my Lenovo g560. I try to boot from a pendrive, with restored iboot, chameleon, efi-empire, but it can't boot from them, can you write to me, what's the exact process of the booting at your method? And please write that for me, how you can type in the busratio thing. Thanks forwardly
    Best regards, John

I recommend, instead of using the pendrive burn a CD and boot it from there.
Using for example iBoot you just have to eject the CD after booting, put in the OS X DVD, press F5 and then choose the OS X DVD.

BEFORE hitting return you just type the parameters written in the article.

    That's it.
